Hello. So before i left in 2010 due to the death of my son, i played from 03 to 2010. I just wanted to post a few ideas and get the community's feed back on the ideas. Id like to ASK people to not troll. But cmon, this is eve online, trolling is a given.
1. Recruitment Channel.
Now with this channel, the spam is always the same and this is how it is, however, there are players who just join that channel to post kill mails, brag, troll, find war targets and generally make the channel very unpleasant. If i were a new player and i joined that channel. It would in fact put me off joining a corporation. I would assume the community was as horrible as the channel members.
Answer: ISD members should be in the channel at all times, not talking or even saying hello. Simply banning people when they swear/troll other people. It is a recruitment channel. The bans should be 7 days long. If they rejoin on alts to continue. Action should be taken against there accounts.
2. War Decs.
Now we all know that war is part of eve online. This i have always understood. However, this being said, the war itself is becoming a joke. Alliances in empire like Marmite, wh0res, PIRAT, Devils. Simply war decking every corp in sight, to what end? None, to score skills against players who cannot fight back. To keep EvE at war. In effect, yes, justifiably. but the system needs to change. These alliances often don't score any kills at all.
Answer: The war dec system needs to be changed. If no kill is made by the aggressor in 48 hours. The war is invalidated by concord as an illegal war. You should have to HUNT your targets if you declare war, not sit outside market hubs waiting for cheap ganks. Increase costs to declare war. 50million ISK is nothing when a plex can be brought i.e meta gaming. Make war decs 200 million ISK minimum. You want war? Earn it.
3. Neutral RR.
Now CCP tried to fix this by inventing the suspect timer. It did not work. People still use RR from 50/60 KM away on suspects outside non busy stations/gates. people attempt to fight, they are killed. There is no reason the RR should be allowed to continue.
Answer: Make RR on neutral targets a concordable offence, not a suspect timer. A simple, concord comes in and kills them. U should not be able to receive help from random people or from neutral alts.
4. High Sec Ganking.
In high sec, anyone can be killed, any where by a gank of destroyers. This is what, a mechanic? No, it's an abuse of a free weapons system.
Answer: Make 0.9/1.0 Secure for new players. have concord issue an injuction on weapons activitating on neutral targets. We want more players? Give them a sense of secuirty. |
